The ‘Trinity Protocol’ is an opportunity for parents and carers to register the details of those with additional needs, such as autism, global developmental delay (GDD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) or other learning difficulties, on our systems. People can also register themselves, if they have additional learning needs.

It allows officers to be aware of an individual and help them to adapt their response to support the person should come into contact with them – if they go missing or need to defuse a threatening situation peacefully for example.

The protocol is a risk reduction tool and named after Caerphilly’s Trinity Fields Additional Needs School, where Gwent Police introduced the UK’s first police cadets scheme in an additional needs setting.

How do I register?

The simple form 📄 contains vital information about the person that can be added to our police systems, preferably with a recent photograph 📸.

This allows officers to have the important information available to them that could save precious time and enable them to help reassure the person if they need assistance.

The person does not have to have come into contact with the police previously to complete a form, so please contact us via email 📧: crimeprevention@gwent.pnn.police.uk to request a form.

If you are part of a Neighbourhood Watch, community group or support service and would like to find out more about the ‘Trinity Protocol’ please get in touch at crimeprevention@gwent.pnn.police.uk.

Ydych chi wedi clywed am ‘Brotocol y Drindod’?

Mae Protocol y Drindod yn gyfle i rieni a gofalwyr ddarparu manylion ynghylch anghenion ychwanegol unigolyn, fel awtistiaeth, Oediad Cyffredinol (Global Delay), ADHD neu anawsterau dysgu eraill, ar ein systemau. Gall pobl ddarparu manylion eu hunain hefyd, os oes ganddynt anghenion dysgu ychwanegol.

Mae’n galluogi swyddogion i fod yn ymwybodol o unigolyn ac i addasu eu hymateb er mwyn rhoi cymorth i’r unigolyn os ydynt yn dod i gysylltiad ag ef neu hi - os yw’n mynd ar goll neu os oes angen lleddfu sefyllfa fygythiol.

Mae’r ffurflen syml 📄 yn cynnwys gwybodaeth hollbwysig am yr unigolyn y gellir ei hychwanegu at ein systemau heddlu, gyda llun diweddar os yn bosibl 📸.
