The Town Council has the opportunity to comment on all Planning applications within the five wards of Chepstow prior to them being considered by the Monmouthshire County Council Planning Committee, where the final decisions on permission are made. The Town Council Planning Committee has the delegated authority to:
- Make responses on behalf of Chepstow Town Council to planning applications received from Monmouthshire County Council.
- Respond to consultations regarding highways matters and deal with street naming.
